Enoch kavindele

NorthWest Rail (NWR) is the brainchild of Enoch Kavindele, one of Zambia’s most respected business leaders and a former senior government official. Mr Kavindele began his entrepreneurial journey in the 1970s, establishing Woodgate Holdings Ltd, a diversified company with interests spanning agriculture, tourism, mining and transportation, operating in both Zambia and the United Kingdom.

Alongside his business ventures, Mr Kavindele held several key roles in the Government of the Republic of Zambia between 1986 and 2003. His public service included ministerial positions in Health, Science and Technology, and Commerce, Trade and Industry, culminating in his appointment as Vice-President of Zambia.

Since stepping away from government in 2003 and parliamentary duties in 2006, Mr Kavindele has focused entirely on the private sector. Today, he continues to lead transformative projects such as NorthWest Rail, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to Zambia’s economic development.
